British Transport Police has released CCTV images of a man they wish to identify following an incident of indecent exposure on the local branch of the District Line .

The incident happened between 5.10pm and 5.25pm on Tuesday 14 April, when a man was seen by other passengers masturbating in full view while travelling between Wimbledon and East Putney stations.

Officers say the man exposed himself on board the train before continuing his journey. Detectives are now appealing for help to identify him, believing he may have information that could assist their investigation.

A spokesperson for British Transport Police said: “This was a deeply distressing incident for those who witnessed it. We are keen to speak to the man pictured as part of our ongoing enquiries.”

Anyone who recognises the man is asked to contact British Transport Policeby texting 61016 or calling 0800 40 50 40, quoting reference 451 of 14 April.
