The election for new members of the Wimbledon and Putney Commons Conservators board is taking this March and a hustings event is being held to give voters a chance to hear from the candidates.

Every three years people living in the special levy area near Wimbledon and Putney Commons get a chance to elect five Conservators.

To help you decide where to place your vote the Putney Society has organised a Hustings on Thursday 18 February at 7.30 pm, where you will get a chance to question the candidates standing for election.

The event will be held on line and you can register for it now at Eventbrite.

Ballot papers will be despatched in the week commencing 8 February and the deadline for receipt of the completed ballot papers (either electronically or physically) is 5pm on 10 March.

All those on the electoral register who live within the levy area are eligible to stand as a Conservator and to vote.

The election process is being handled by Civica Election Services (CES). Electors can vote by post or online. However, because there have been some disruptions to postal deliveries as a result of Coronavirus, the Returning Officer is encouraging voters to make use of the online voting facility where
possible.
