Since the move to online schooling on Monday 23 March , in response to the Coronavirus outbreak, Putney High School’s doors have remained open to the children of critical key workers from local GDST schools, even through the Easter holidays.

Pupils from Kensington Prep and younger girls from Putney and Wimbledon High Schools have continued coming into school at Putney so that their key worker parents can continue in their essential roles. The girls have been greeted each morning by a rotating team of around 17 volunteer teachers and kitchen staff.

Year 7 pupil Amelia said: "We have our friends at the touch of a button and I would like to thank all of the AMAZING teachers who have stayed behind, during the Coronafest to look after us and keep us entertained. Thanks"
