Believed to be Oswald Henderson missing from Fulham

A body has been recovered from the River Thames near Barnes Bridge early this Sunday morning (28 August).

It is believed to be 76-year-old Oswald Henderson Mapp who was reported missing from Fulham on 26 August and was the subject of a media appeal.

At around 7.05am the police were informed that a body of a man had been seen in the river by Barnes Bridge.

Oswald's next of kin have been informed of this development, but formal identification awaits.
