Plan To Build Ten Storey Hotel on Putney High Street Revived

Development proposed for site at junction with Putney Bridge Road

Proposed hotel for the corner of Putney High Street & Putney Bridge Road

A revised proposal is to be submitted to redevelop 31-43 Putney High Street.

A plan to develop a the site which is currently a three storey building occupied in part by Preto Steakhouse was previously put forward in October 2017.

Governside Ltd are now proposed to build a mixed-use development comprising an hotel, offices and retail.

The visualisation released by the developer appears to be largely unchanged from that given out back in 2017. Although the building height is unchanged there has been an increase in office floor space from 344sq.m to 403sq.m and the number of hotel rooms has been increased from 179 to 197.

The retail space on the High Street has been moved up to ground floor level having been in the basement in the previous design. The hotel reception and restaurant have been switched to the basement level,

Visitor cycle parking spaces have been relocated within the courtyard to allow for greater usability of the courtyard space.

The developer says they are in discussions with planning officers and a potential hotel operator which they hope to conclude shortly.

The building will be a similar height to the adjacent Levellers Court development and the two schemes will share a new publicly accessible courtyard.

The new scheme will be submitted to Wandsworth’s planning department in the near future.
