After two years’ of enforced shutdown the Putney Choral Society is finally set to return with its Spring Concert.

It is taking place on Saturday, 21 May, at 7 p.m. at St. Paul’s Church, Augustus Road, Southfields, (SW19 6EW).

Putney Choral Society, with orchestra and professional soloists, conducted by Christopher Braime will be performing Haydn’s joyous oratorio The Creation.

Tickets which cost £17 include programme, refreshments, wine or soft drink and are available online.

Putney Choral Society is an unauditioned and friendly choir, meaning that all abilities are welcomed but being able to follow a musical score will greatly help your enjoyment. It is also ambitious and aims to achieve high musical standards inits performances so there is an expectation that people will come to rehearsals having done preparatory work on what is to be sung. Rehearsal schedules also help you to see what you have missed in order to help catch up. It offers support materials in our members' area to help you in learning music in advance.

The choir rehearses on Monday evenings during school terms, from 7.15pm to 9.15pm, with a short break.
