Dover House Singers will mark a major milestone this month as the much-loved community choir celebrates its 20th anniversary with a free concert on Saturday 18 July. The group, founded in 2006 and now a familiar presence in Putney’s cultural life, is inviting residents to join an evening of music, memories and community spirit.

The anniversary programme brings together favourite pieces from across the choir’s two decades, ranging from uplifting choral works to popular songs from stage and screen. Organisers say the concert is designed to welcome everyone — long-time supporters, former members, and those who may never have heard the choir perform before.

The celebration begins at 7pm at St. Mary's Church on the High Street, with admission free and no booking required. Alongside the music, guests will be able to enjoy refreshments and take part in a raffle, with all proceeds supporting Regenerate-RISE, the local charity chosen by the choir for its anniversary year.

Over the past twenty years, Dover House Singers has grown into a cornerstone of community music in Putney, offering residents a place to sing, socialise and share in collective creativity. The choir’s anniversary event aims to honour that legacy while looking ahead to the next chapter.

Organisers are encouraging people to bring family, invite friends and help fill the hall for what promises to be a warm, celebratory evening. After two decades of song, the choir is ready to raise its voices once again — this time in tribute to the community that has sustained it.
