Another shop has closed for good on Putney High Street as Ryness confirm that Putney is one of three branches that will not reopen as Covid-19 rules relax on High Street.

Regional Manager Barry Jacobs told PutneySW15: "Sadly Ryness in Putney is closed forever, along with Kensington and Goodge Street. We have been forced to close, not because of the coronavirus, although this was the final nail, but because of the change in people’s buying habits, the demise of the filament lightbulb, and the cost of rents and rates forced on us.

"I would like to take this opportunity of thanking the people of Putney for their support over the years we have been there."

Residents who wish to continue supporting Ryness for their supplies can go to the Chelsea shop at 343 Kings Road SW3 5ES.
