Immigration takes over when Putney police find driver's visa expired last June

 

A man was stopped by police on Werter Road this Wednesday (25 March) and is facing more than a speeding ticket when a check showed his visa expired in June 2019.

Male stopped for excessive speed on Werter Rd, SW15. Phone call to Immigration showed he was an over stayer and his visa ran out on the 21st June 2019. Arrested for Immigration to deal with

The UK Visas and Immigration division of the Home Office will be taking over the case from the police.
