The Boots Pharmacy at 383 Upper Richmond Road has appeared on a list of branches that the retailer is closing.

It was announced this June that the company intended to shut 300 outlets where there was another branch nearby over a 12 month period.

It is understood that staff at the closed branch in the parade of shops near Dover House Road will be employed at the Putney High Street branch.

There has been a slow but steady stream of closures over the last few months as Boots seeks to bring its number of stores down from 2,200 to 1,900 in an attempt to ‘consolidate the business.’

Other branches to close include the one on Acton High Street.

Articles such as the one above are integral to what we do. We aim to feature as much as possible on local societies, charities based in the area, fundraising efforts by residents, community-based initiatives and even helping people find missing pets.
