Norfolk Terrier took a train from Barnes to Putney without oyster card
Three-year-old Basil from Barnes decided to hop a train to Putney, but forgot to take his owner with him or buy a ticket! The Norfolk Terrier got on board on Tuesday (15 January) to go on his little adventure.
Luckily South Western Railway staff members Barry and Dan retrieved him and kept him safe until his owners could get to the station and collect the AWOL pooch.
Basil apologises for fare dodging!
Later his owner tweeted their thanks to the staff:
@SW_Railway massive thanks to Barry and Dan and the staff at Putney Train Station who very kindly looked after our dog, Basil, yesterday afternoon after he seemingly decided to make a solo unaccompanied journey from Barnes to Putney! Sorry but he didn’t buy a ticket.
