Cyclist Taken to Hospital After Lower Richmond Road Crash

A male cyclist has been taken to hospital after being hit by a car on Lower Richmond Road in Putney this Wednesday morning (26 April).

The collusion occurred near the junction with Bemish Road shortly before 8.08am. The cyclist, who is believed to in his thirties, appears to have made contact with the car’s windscreen which was smashed.

His injuries have since been assessed as non-life-threatening.

The driver of the car stopped at the scene and was not arrested.

A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said, “We were called at 8.05am today (Wednesday) to reports of a road traffic collision at the junction of the Bemish Road with the Lower Richmond Road, SW15.

“We sent an ambulance to the scene and treated a man before taking him to hospital.”
