What’s your POV Phillipa?

It used to be a much bigger world because we did not have the transport options that we have now.In just my lifetime transcontinental travel has changed fromship to air and those aeroplanes changed from propeller to jet with non-stop flights to many far countries.I met someone a month or so ago who was working on designing flying cars.WE seem to think that WE should be able to go everywhere WE want in the world but that other people shouldn't.We should take a long hard look at what we are buying and eating and using and think hard about their provenance and not waste the world's finite resources. We are just a very small part of the big wide world.

With a bit of luck Philippa you might be able to fly through a black hole soon. Then you can tell everybody your experience.

Well I've met someone who is designing flying cars so maybe there's still a chance. However there's still a list to make of people to put on the first trip out to Mars.
