I agree, black birds or jackdaws? Difficult to tell at that distance.....It is so funny, there are signs in Pembroke Lodge about jackdaws and their tendency to steal food! Once, I was finishing my croissant and we were sitting on the terrace enjoying the view! One cheeky jackdaw stole the last bit of my croissant I was holding in my fingers and it really startled me!!! Ha, ha, ha!!Moral of the story, beware of jackdaws!!!
