Legion of honour

There was a time when the French awarded this honour for great bravery in the battlefield.Now you get it for donating billions of £s of taxpayers money to allow the French police to watch the boat gangs get richer.

Absolutely desperate MB if you think one measure is progress.  Our current and future level of debt is horrifyingly high, businesses collapsing at the rate of knots and the lack of a plan or at least having the confidence to debate a plan tells the public all they need to know.  It is Labour leaders musical chairs, the problems remains because they are afraid to face them.

A 40 percent drop is a pretty good achievement so far. Not saying there isn't more to be done but at least the numbers are finally going in the right direction. Rightm

Yes, the number of migrants who have crossed the Channel this year is down 40% from the same period last year. But 12 000 migrants have crossed since January, around 60 each day, with little or no prospect of removing them.

Sue, the graph and the quote were evidence showing how small boat crossings are down 40% from last year.Surely you can give the gov some credit for that?

I don’t believe any immigration figures reported by this Government no matter where/how they are being reported.    Where is the visual proof of them being transported from their detention centres and being taken to the airports and being put onto planes?  I haven’t seen any videos footage of any of this taking place, have you?

Back to topic after ignoring Brigo’s rubbish.  How can anyone believe that Government propaganda crap without any proof?  I suppose it’s possible when someone is gullible or stupid.Macron is on his way out of power and this award has been made from one weak man to another in the last throes of their bromance.  However poor old Keir is no longer in a position to award his French mate the Victoria Cross in recognition of his gratitude.  Shame
