Ghost  advert

Has anyone spotted the "ghost advert" on a wall at the demolition site at the High St & Putney Bridge Rd junction ? It' s an excellent example of one in preservation & size. It advertises" Deans Blinds " which had premises nearby in Putney Bridge Rd. I' m uncertain when it closed. I suspect the 1960s. Perhaps someone can photograph it and send it to the Library. Such a shame Phil Evison is no longer with us. He would love this.

Thanks  for  the  information  Barbara. I' ve  now  found  an  Ideal  Home  advert  for  1961  when  they  were  at  329 / 333 Putney  Bridge  Rd. I  wonder  if  the  wall  painting  was  done  when  the  corner  site  was  developed  after  the  war.

Hi Duncan, Deans Blinds was actually in Deodor Rd, by the river, next door was Spalding's Gold equipment where I worked for about 2 yrs in about 1969, Tony Jacklyn used to come there. Also next door was PGSA.  While I worked at Spalding's they sponsored Jill Hammersley who worked in the office with me Table Tennis player Jill was young then obviously.  Deans Blinds think you will find moved to Earlsfield area.
