Clean Air
It being Clean Air Day I stumbled upon a very useful stall set up on St Marys Square which is giving out information about clean air and is inclusive of excellent free shopping bags. Those involved knew nothing of our oxogen tree at the bottom of the High Street but hurrah - Councillor Ethan Brooks has recently enquired about its efficiency and indeed if the oxogen tree were still working. He said that he will let me know about the status of the oxogen tree as a provider of oxogen in Putney when he has received answers. Also, the irony of a stall that looks on to the vehicular congestion which we continue to experience not being lost on me we talked about Wandsworth Council's way forward with regard to putting this often grid locked mess right. Planned improvements might (I said might) mean that the cycle lane which has been so controversial could go...However, this resident is now a skeptic where action taken by any local administration regardless of political stance is concerned, although one lives in hope. Anyway, My head was so full of all of these impromptu discussions that I neglected to take some leaflets from the Clean Air stall. I must then go down to St Mary's square again this afternoon and perhaps I'll get on of those smart shopping bags that are on offer as well.
