John Healey, Defence Secretary, Resigns

His resignation letter is very critical of Starmer and Rachel from Complaints over defence budget.   Government is in complete disarray.   Time for a GE!

What a shambolic set of Labour politicians we have, lead by Starmer the ditherer in chief, his boozy number two and the checkout Chancellor.Apparently Pat McFadden, Secretary of State for Work and Pensions, complained to Peter Mandelson that Labour backbenchers just wanted to know “who can we tax in order to pay benefits to others”.So we should be fearful of our national security in their hands.

Al Carns clearly loves our country and can lead as shown by his media rounds this morning.  What a different approach from Starmer which is what this country needs.  How can Starmer laud Zelenskyy and the EU when we can’t even protect our own citizens.

Yes, but if there is not to be a General Election, we need a Labour Prime Minister who is willing to increase defence spending by reducing expenditure on welfare, if necessary  by facing down those on the backbenches who inanely repeat the mantra, ‘I wasn’t elected to Parliament to make my constituents poorer’.  Sometimes a government has to choose between guns and butter.

Well done Healey putting country before party.  This highlights the Government’s dogma over saving ballooning welfare budget over all our own safety. They have spent 9 mths messing around with the defence budget and still can’t see the obvious.  We need a political leader urgently.
