Meningitis Vaccination Advice

I think the Meningitis vaccination advice being given out from the government is hopeless and my family is getting all the information online. My 16 year old daughter has had the  Meningitis ACWY jab at secondary school, should she have the Meningitis B vaccine now privately to be on the safe side? My son is away at University and we have advised to have the vaccination done at Boots.  The cost is £220 for the 2 vaccinations.  He tells me all the students are wondering what to do. Really this is awful for parents who want to do the best for their children but can’t afford the two Meningitis B vaccinations, as they are not available on the NHS.

I understand that, because of demand, they are running out of vaccine in Kent. Generally, pharmacies are seeing a surge in demand for the vaccine and, I read online, some have increased the cost of the vaccine to  £330. Starmer needs to get a grip.  Parents and young people need correct guidance.
