Denby Pottery Calls in the Adminstrators
Due to a drop in demand for its pottery and increasing energy prices, this wonderful British company is under threat of closure. The company is over 200 years old. 600 staff are at risk of losing their jobs.
We have a Denby dinner service and it has been part of our life since we married in the 1970s. It was a wedding present. My in-laws also had a Denby dinner service and the girls I worked with also bought it when they married. Arabesque is iconic and groovy.
What sad news for this country and the pottery industry.
