Surely, as with any product, for example a motor cars, the manufacturer has the obligation to provide a product that is safe, and properly tested in the environment and users it's intended for, and the user should be properly instructed or trained in its use, or, if they're not of an age to safely use it themselves, they should be supervised - which might inclused prohibiting it'suse at times. I guess an issue with smartphones is that many children seem to know more about their features and operation than parents and teachers ... as CSN&Y sang in one verse: teacher your parents well :-)
