Alton Estate

I have just had a look at the computer generated images of the proposed community hub building with adjacent block of flats in the Alton Estate; very impressive stuff. Particularly, the community hub building, looks like it will make a fantastic entrance to the estate. Fingers crossed they can get it through the various stages intact, and get it constructed without too much delay, the residents up there have been left in limbo  more than long enough.

Hi, there’s an article on the front page of this site, SW15, with a couple of images. As far as I know, nothing has got planning approval yet, there has been a ballot of residents to see whether they agree with demolition and rebuilding works, which they voted in favour of. I think these images are the first glimpse of the new proposals.

I haven’t really followed this but I wondered what the residents thought?

Hello Gerry,I am rather confused as I am pretty sure that the Council said the regeneration of the Alton Estate had been approved... Where did you find the computer generted images, please?  Thank you.
