Anybody else having their signing-in rejected? If so, try the new site.

On the old-style Putney forum, I get this message (in red) when I try to sign in:—  Logon Failed, your logon name ******** was incorrect which is an error as I just copy logon name from the names that come up in the Forum's slot. It has also been unusual for the last 2-3 weeks in that I am now always finding that I am signed out and need to sign in again.  So now I have to use the NewSW15 site, which accepts me. This has no effect, sadly, on the old site.

Hello David,I had this problem yesterday a few times and I desisted.  Went to check the NewSW15 and it was working properly.I am again on the old site and, it made me chuckle, as I tried to answer this message a few minutes ago, the site froze.....

Looks like it was a glitch and they've now reset the servers. This is posted from the old, insecure interface!

What I should have written was "Finding out that I could sign in on the new site, and, having done so, made no difference to my ability to sign in or post on the old site, although my postings on the new site are visible on the old site, as you can see."

I generally use the new interface unless it's down. The old interface has enforced a frequent re login for a while. The old interface seems insecure (no password needed) so perhaps it's been withdrawn; about time!

Seems to be OK on the new site but I can't log on on the old site.  Is this a permanent problem?  Is there anybody out there?
