Here’s a very tenuous link to Putney. I had forgotten Felicity Kendall had a romantic relationship with Sir Tom Stoppard, until the press brought this up today. I think Felicity Kendall lived in SW15 for a while, somewhere near or on Quill Lane?
It’s sad news to hear of his death but The Sunday Times said he lived a “most enviable life”. He was described as a “very happy man”. And he liked cricket, too.
When I worked in the West End I saw him about a couple of times.
