Yes, I guessed that the Random Photo, was just as described. I wasn’t really accusing you stirring things up here by including The Fighting Cocks, it just seemed a timely, humorous post at a point when the forum was getting a little heated! Maybe I am missing something here? I thought all of this would be very obvious from my response. To be honest, I’m even surprised it elicited any comments or  queries.

Gerry.  You were obviously being sarcastic but these pics are posted from the top of a list that's constructed pseudo randomly - that is, it may not be random in a rigorous mathematical sense (for example,  I tag the images to try and avoid repeat postings of a pic), but it there's no rationale to the sequencing other than I think the pic could be of interest to some. In this case, I thought the pub might be of historical interest.

Alright, Ivonne, I hoped it would be obvious that I was being sarcastic. ‘Sarcasm is a form of verbal irony in which individuals say the opposite of what they mean .’Anyway, hope that clears it up.

I'm not sure much of the original structure remains, although apparently, quoting Wikipedia "It has been added to over the years but the original timber-framed structure is clearly visible." We survived having a drink or two there :-)
