Starmer double speak

He says re the Aston Villa ban that we should not allow anti semetism on our streets.Yet for 2 years he has taken no action to stop the tea towel marches in London.

I don't agree.'Spot on.Ms Carter seems to have gotten into a bit of a tizz when I said I inferred that those on this Forum who post little else but anti-Israel attacks and accusations of genocide might have at the least an anti-Jewish if not antisemitic bias.Remember - "If it looks like a duck; walks like a duck; swims like a duck; quacks like a duck, POSTS ON THIS FORUM like a duck it's probably a duck"!For they ignore genocide being carried out by other countries and ethnic group such as the Chinese towards ironically the Muslim Uyghur minority and similar attacks on Christians in Sudan by the Islamic paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (aka the Janjaweed) who have shelled the Saudi funded hospital several times and which a group of Sudanese medics has called a war crime.And the old excuse and cliché "some of my friends are Jewish" counts for little.So are some of mine which is why I do my best to defend them from attacks and accusations by aggressive Islamists on this Forum.

It seems a little contradictory, Jonathan, to denigrate the Forum while contributing to it. Despite the rude repartee, which admittedly is not to everyone's taste, there is a serious point at issue here. Some individuals think it is all right to go on a a march organised and attended by anti-Zionists aka anti-Semites on the grounds they personally are not anti-Semitic. I don't agree.

We do seem to be reaching new levels of pomposity, repetition, humourlessness and hence sheer tedium on this thread.  Indeed I could say that about quite a few other threads on this Forum.  No wonder the number of participants is declining.At least I know where not to spend unnecessary time.

Ms Carter'I’m getting fed up with this virtually libellous lie and reporting to the moderator'I see you are not in favour of free speech then.I do not see how inferring from the fact that individuals who regularly and almost exclusively post comments that attack Israel, whose Jewish citizens are defending themselves from real attack by Palestinian Arabs, might have views that could be described as antisemitic.If I am wrong then I have misjudged my reading of such comments and take your word that you and other such are in fact not so.I also note that you have spotted that marches purportedly supporting Palestine have become antisemitic and hateful.In which case, bearing in mind the rise in antisemitic deeds, some murderous,  and sentiment by Islamists across the country you might condemn them as I do.

I am sure that regular marcher Carter would disagree with you.I’m getting fed up with this virtually libellous lie and reporting to the moderator - not that they’ll do  anything. As has been stated we went to see the march on precisely one occasion where we met up with 2 Jewish friends who were marching under  banner ´ Jews for Peace ´.  The fact that some idiots chant anti semitic chants does not mean that many were not simply pleading for peace from both sides. It may be that these marches have become anti semitic and hateful i which case of course they should be condemned but that was not the case on the early march we saw. I can assure you that we are not anti semitic and deplore all racism.

Mr Wheeler'Michael from first hand experience in the West End these on going marches are definitely antisemitic by the sheer venom they shout'.I am sure that regular marcher Carter would disagree with you.They are marching in support of Palestinians and against the actions of Israel in suppressing the right of this ethnic group to a homeland.Well not just against these actions but also against Zionism which is a vigorous 'right wing' movement of Jews for the recognition of the right of Israel to exist as a state.In no sense does this indicate sentiments of antisemitism they would claim.However we must decide whether Carter and others of his ilk are antisemitic or just naïve. From the frequency and vituperative nature of his comments I know what I believe.
