Jilly Cooper R.I.P.

Very sad news that Dame Jilly Cooper has passed away aged 88.  She lived in Putney for several years.

Very sad to have died following a fall at home.  A lovely kind and generous lady by all accounts who loved animals and adored her rescue dogs.  She did indeed live in Putney before she moved to the Cotswolds 40 odd years ago.P.S. I have read all her bonkbusters and enjoyed every one.😉

I remember her well from my youth when I used to share a flat in Commendable, opposite what was then a hospital, and Jilly and Leo Cooper lived in one of the big houses nearby.  Saw her every day, giving her dogs a run on the common. I bought the Sunday Times purely for her brilliant articles.  Never knew her personally but it's still a sad loss.
