Cricket County Championship

Did I blink and miss it, but has there been any mention on the news of Nottingham winning the County Champuonship?  The start of the Ryder Cup was on the news but no mention of the county championship.

Thanks, Nick.  My son is loving it and he’s enjoying the rugby too. We are watching Andrew Flintoff and the Field of Dreams.  This is the first time we have watched it.  What a lovely man he is and so wonderful to see these young people be introduced to cricket and the change for the better it has brought into their lives.

Nick, thank you for this.  It was a thrilling end to the Country Championship today at the other end of the table, with Hampshire and Durham fighting relegation. It is of the great regrets of my life that I used to think cricket was boring, but better late than never.  No, we aren’t Notts supporters, but we areabsolutely delighted for Nottingham. By the way my son is at Uni. in Wales, so I know it’s Glammy, Glammy, Glammy!  They have been promoted.  Good luck to them!

Lovely to see a post in relation to county championship. One of The Uk greatest gifts for traditional sports lovers. Spent a lot of my summer following either live or on the various streams. Martine. Congrats if you are a Notts supporter and great to see Hameed lifting the trophy as captain.Im a Glamorgan supporter and a friend of mine plays wicketkeeper for them. Chris Cooke .

Thanks Ivonne.  We have been following the thrilling end to this major cricket competition and are disappointed not to have seen Nottingham lifting the trophy on tv news, but as I say, we might have missed it.  What got me, is that they showed people walking out of the clubhouse for the Ryder Cup, something I am not interested in.

Hello Martine,I did not watch the 6pm news.  Just looked at BBC's website and in the sports page, under cricket, it is mentioned.  But not on the home page......
