Sadly Barbara I will no longer be shopping at Sainsburys.I went to the Dryers Lane branch and the good news is now you can see the alcoholic items behind the counter that are for sale. The bad news is the pricing may not be accurate.Whilst shopping I made a impulse buy on a clearance item behind the counter as seen from 6ft behind perspex, which was labeled as £12 approx however when I went to pay it was £19 approx. When I queried this, the cashier (never seen before) called the manager (never seen before) and they moved the label to a different item!Oddly they then claimed that they hadn't moved the label and the cashier even asked why I was making a fuss?Sorry the correct process should be admit that something has been mislabeled and offer a refund or the difference in price.Neither was offered - so I insisted on returning my goods and demanded a full refund for all my shopping approx £35.Clearly Sainsbury training has gone amiss and I will take perhaps my small amount of business, £10-£15K a year worth of shopping elsewhere.I will also dispose of the few quid of shares I have in the company.Basic Processes seem to be lacking. It's not difficult:Sorry sir we put the wrong price on the goods - would you like a full refund or just the difference and retain the goods?Honest mistakes I tend to go for the full refund. But if you are placing labels with large print with one price and small print which the customer can not read from 6ft behind perspex then it is a process error not a one off error.Even so if staff had said clearly they had made a mistake but they didn't. They insisted the items were labeled correctly.Clearly Sainsburys have changed the design without appreciating the consequences. The Labels must be readable from the position of the customer. For this reason not for the rudeness and apparent dishonesty of the staff that they hadn't moved the label I think a boycott is in in order.Sorry 40 odd years a Sainsbury's shopper no longer!
