Trump manages to win by bullying people; unfortunately for Trump, he's not in a position of power to bully Putin. Trump is also fixated on "making deals", usually in a financial or material basis; Putin is driven by the loss of the Soviet Empire - hence, his foreign minister wearing a sweater with "CCCP" on it, and apparently served chicken Kiev on the flight to Anchorage. (I wonder, did they have baked Alaska on the return journey?) Putin has definite aims and principles - one can dislike them - and him - but respect his views; Trump changes his views with whatever is expedient to the moment and his court cases and bankruptcies over the years seem to indicate a lack of principles and dubious morals … seeing the photos of Trump and Epstein he perhaps didn't choose his friends too well, or did others avoid his friendship? Nothing much to respect about Trump?I wonder what Putin thought of the flypast of a B2 bomber with fighter jets? Interesting that at the end, Putin suggested meeting next in Moscow - in English; that seemed to surprise Trump. (I assume he knew Putin spoke quite good English, better than Trump's Russian …)
