"Ed. Surely that's because this can be such a complicated issue with so many different situations in different areas of the world.  No one size fits all"No! It's just a lack of transparency, honesty and a good old dose of corruption.

Ed. Surely that's because this can be such a complicated issue with so many different situations in different areas of the world.  No one size fits all.Today is VJ day and so many different nations were involved.in the war in the Far East and Pacific. Yet perhaps partly because it was so much further away and partly because of the horrors of war and partly because of not talking about it because of that we know much less about it.  Many of the books and films made about it are going to be considered too grim and factual and aren't going to be seen/read unless you are researching and/or have a particular interest.Many in the UK may also have members of their family who lived and/or fought there.

Yet people still support the Labour and Conservative parties who's foreign policy is to create more refugees.They can't wait to turn another country into a basket case where it is unsafe to return anyone.Strange how this fact is never mentioned in these various lists!
