Oxogen and Putney High Street

In the absence of a reply from Councillor Brooks regarding the state of the haemorrhaging Oxogen Tree on the High Street I contacted Fleur Anderson MP who wrote to Wandsworth Council. They replied as follows: “Thank you for the email. I have been in contact with the supplier and they are arranging a visit to correct this as soon as possible.” Hopefully the Tree will be fully operational soon.

I assume WbC only bought one. I may put in a FOI request to see what they have spent on these things. The Cork article seemed to raise questions about their effectiveness not just their cost.

Note, 'We will monitor its effectiveness...' Quite how effective the tree is and has been for some time with the continued leak on to the pavement might suggest that its not been defective for some time, Also note - it has taken the intervention of our MP to get things moving...

The quote is fom December 8, 2020 although it doesn't say how much it cost to install and maintain.(Cork in Ireland bought five which cost €355,106 and €17,880 to maintain in 12 months.
