Saddened today to hear of her going. So grateful for all the wonderful music she brought to our lives. So proud of all she achieved and the recognition she was given. I hope one day others will follow the same path and bring the same joy.

A lovely voice and another sad loss from that very musical family.We recently found her daughter Jacqui Dankworth singing at a jazz festival - the first time we'd heard her in years.  I believe she's married to an American now so hasn't been in the UK as much as she used to be.  If you get a chance go and see her and listen to that lovely Laine/Dankworth legacy.

This is a very sad passing of a classic singer.  I saw her perform at Ronnie Scott’s with Georgie Fame and his blues voice and her singing was just sensational.  What a performer.
