Barnes Railway Bridge

Barnes Railway Bridge will be shutting from the 23rd August to the 31st August. Disruption with trains.

As we drove on Saturday past Barnes Station, the alley by the side of the station, think it's called the long walk, it may have changed from when I was a kid. But I have never seen so many bikes just put in the alley, nobody would have been able to walk down there. There wasn't a stand for them, they had all just been left there.

That's Chiswick Railway Station footbridge closed 2 August - 15 September.

London needs more accessible bridges and Network Rail don't like the publicity of not opening up wider conversations which could find solutions and extra funding to achieve this.  Sometimes these works eg replacement are once in a lifetime ones.  However, Barnes Bridge was also closed for a period last Summer.I think Brentford has a Premier League match during this period of closure.Isn't Chiswick Bridge due to be closed too?

Network Rail did not reply. I'm not sure why their notice is not explicit on the foot bridge being closed.However Richmond have confirmed it will be closed (see below).London really needs more working bridges!"..Whilst the works take place no person may proceed in over Barnes Bridge Pedestrian Footpath from Barnes Bridge Station to the north Embankment of the River Thames. 3.
