🎼Tears Of A Clown🎼😩

No sympathy!  Retribution maybe for all the tears she caused many 1000's of pensioners with her withdrawal of WFA, the extreme worry and stress she has heaped on our farmers, and forcing many small businesses to either fold, or prevent them from taking on any apprentices due to her disastrous NI increases.  She has damaged so many people and I hope she loses her job and ultimately sheds many more tears of humiliation.

Interesting that "the markets" seemed to be spooked when it seemed that Reeves' position might have been in doubt. In spite of some dubious decisions (who knows who actually made them?) they seem to like what, so far, has been her commitment to fiscal rules. Had she not appeared at PMQs whould that have fuelled bigger rumours and "spooked the markets" even more?Also interesting, that on R4's "This Week in Westminster" this morning Jeremy Hunt was being quite sympathetic, even supportive, towards Reeves.https://news.sky.com/story/how-markets-reacted-to-uncertainty-over-rachel-reevess-future-13391471

Couldnt have been that serious a 'private' matter the way she came out giggling and  laughing the following day with Surkeir and Streeting. Or was that just a show for the markets? Whatever it was it was pretty cruel on her if there was a major personal issue. Or did big Ange just call her names?

Continuing from my previous post, do you remember when Maggie Thatcher burst into tears when informed her son was lost in the Sahara desert while taking part in a rally?There was a lot of compassion expressed by the British people at the time, whether they supported her or not.

Good morning Richard,While I agree that showing humanity would have been the decent thing to do, I believe RR should have excused herself from attending the HoC under the circumstances.  RR was not at a funeral or had hurt herself somehow. We do not know what caused her to cry but I very much doubt it was something that happened right there and then.  She holds high office and with this come certain expectations, rightly or wrongly.There is a saying: "Laugh, and the world laughs with you; weep and you weep alone".  In her case, sadly, there was not much compassion.  It was a sign of frailty, regrettably.

Look those old enough to remember the Blair/Brown nonsense (which oddly should be many of the contributors on this forum) that occupied news space instead of actual news should just ignore these stories and focus on the important things.  Growth - they killed it  Taxes - They are higher due to above (lack of growth)  Tears - They only care for themselves not the people that are impacted by their mistakes.

No sympathy? Reportedly it was a purely personal matter, nothing to do with politics, and whatever you think of Rachel Reeves (and I'm not a fan), showing a little humanity would have been the decent thing to do.

Starmer and Rayner were appalling by their total cold shouldered behaviour ignoring Reeves.  I don’t know why I was surprised by their reaction given the callous policy decisions.  There is nothing human about this robotic Government.This Government are a PR disaster.

I do not like RR very much, if at all.What I cannot understand is, if she was having such a horrible day or had had bad news, why not excuse herself with the Speaker and not attend the House's session.  She did not do herself any favours by crying in public. On the contrary.
