Rupert Lowe ~ Ban Halal & Kosher Slaughter

💯agree! 👏🏻Both practices are disgusting and barbaric and have no place in a civilised society.  Using religion and religious beliefs to condone animal cruelty is unacceptable and all abattoirs using these revolting methods should be shut down.  Non-stun/halal slaughter isn't farming, it's torture. Freedom of belief does not mean freedom to inflict a cruel and brutal death upon millions of animals. It is un-British. It was the best practice at the time but that was a long time ago.There is no reason from what I understand why the animals can not be stunned first as with non-religious slaughter. Happy to be corrected.Michael makes an excellent point that being vegetarian is best, but as a meat eater I think we should ban not stunning the animal first when being slaughtered.It may not be possible to impose a ban on imported meat, but in the UK we should insist!
