Revamp of Barn Elms Running Track Finally Completed

Headline from the front page.I think the car part work is now completed.Everytime a pass the over large car park and the paths that run alongside, I think why not put a cycle track around the whole ground?We are just not making the most of the resources we have.I'm all for keeping cyclists from speeding on pavements and jumping lights but why not give them a cycle track?It just seems madness that we do not maximise the public facilities that we have.

My suggestion is purely for leisure.When you look at the vast area around the sports fields and the amount of space the new mainly empty car park takes up, I'm not convinced we are getting the best use of that space."Do cyclists actually use cycle tracks? Competitive cycling is done on velodromes."I'm not suggesting anything fancy just a surface where rain runs off without potholes that can be used almost all year round.Would cyclists use it?Perhaps if there was a kiosk like Richmond park :)
