Does it get any more fake than this? Terrible effort..

Quite believable when you consider in SW15 that public toilets used to be common as were working bridges in London and even trams and trolleybuses on the High St.On a national level we lost the ability to police the streets build nuclear power stations - soon make steel ....the list goes on.https://www.forbes.com/sites/quora/2015/12/11/how-we-lost-the-ability-to-travel-to-the-moon/

Mike, you’re in danger of spoiling the fun by injecting facts and rationality into the discussion. I’ve seen pictures of the WW2 bomber on the moon. In the National Enquirer, that fine journal of record. Shame it’s no longer around.

Yawn ... you think the Russians, Chinese, Indians ... would let the US get away with faking it?https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Third-party_evidence_for_Apollo_Moon_landings
Michael Ixer ● 76d
Oh, by the way, you do realize they were not at sea level, don't you? It was amazing watching it live as they landed on the moon. In black and white of course, but truly amazing!

Of all the pics, allegedly showing man on the moon (and there are many), please share on here one, just one, where the horizon appears to be more than 50m away. Good luck..

I thought Elvis lived there on that World War 2 bomber.

Let's not worry, the Universe might just be one big virtual reality show:https://www.port.ac.uk/news-events-and-blogs/news/scientist-suggests-gravity-further-supports-theory-we-are-living-in-a-simulated-universeOf course, this is at variance with Einstein's Special Relativity theory that gravity is the result of space-time curvature rather than a force or pull). Still, I suppose the informational theory might fit better with quantum entanglement ... but Einstein's theory hasn't been proved wrong yet …
Mr Brown bet you'll tell me next it's not made of cheese.! Not having that!

Apollo astronauts got a bit fed up with conspiracy and one time Buzz Aldrin got fed up with being harassed by one and thumped him ...https://www.reddit.com/r/HistoryPorn/comments/1hawx4t/astronaut_buzz_aldrin_second_from_right_punching/?rdt=51504https://www.foxnews.com/science/apollo-11-astronauts-punch
Really??
Man has never walked on the Moon!
I think that's more of an expenses allowance. Some companies I've worked for would allow a claim of (can't remember exactly), say, £5/night, to cover incidental expenses (perhaps extra toothpaste or a tip to a porter, etc) on top of claims for meals, room and travel when working away from home.

"According to NASA, astronauts are not paid overtime or bonuses for time in space. Instead, they receive their standard federal salaries and a $5 daily incidental travel allowance while on official duty. That means each astronaut earned just under $1,500 extra over the course of the mission"Note quite Red Dwarf hours but they may have been in a bit more of a hurry to bring them back if they were members of Unite :)

An odd question. I think you'll find many "professionals": accountants, lawyers, managers, directors, etc don't get paid overtime - but of course they may get bonuses, profit shares, share options, etc.
"professional astronauts"I wonder what overtime rate they get?
I suppose if one were being pedantic then one ought to say "professional astronauts" (or cosmonauts, taikonauts, etc). I think Wilmore and Williams clocked up a fair number of orbits while circling the Earth on the ISS!
There are various definitions of what an astronaut is. I think the best one is:"a person who is trained to travel in a spacecraft"Which would obviously include those killed before even making it into orbit.
Ed, that was not very nice of you.Talk about real astronauts, what would you call Barry Wilmore and Sunita Williams? They just went up and down?
Ivonne Holliday ● 77d
'Apparently real Astronauts..'What next - real women??
Apparently real Astronauts refer to these space tourists as "orbit jockeys" - quite generous as those doing trips on Blue Origin or Virgin Galactic don't do a full orbit, they just go up and down …
Something we can all agree on? :-)

Exactly that!

Risible and a huge embarrassment, especially for Perry who is apparently now regretting her involvement. Her ridiculous psycho-babble speech at the end was cringeworthy.
Ah; I see, so, does anyone care?https://www.unilad.com/technology/space/blue-origin-conspiracy-theory-mannequin-hand-debunked-728688-20250418
The only thing not fake was Bezos faceplanting into the soil. That bit was entertaining.
