The Beatles Biopics

The names of the four actors who will play the Fab Four have been confirmed, but I struggled to find one of them that actually looked like a Beatle.  
My opinion was that only Barry Keoghan looked the part and that he could pass as Ringo.  The Times agrees with me today about this actor. I know you are never going to find someone identical but, eg in the Crown, the lookie likies can be amazing.

Sue, I tend to agree with you.  When I saw the photo of the 4 actors, I was trying to work out which actor was supposed to be which Beatle.  Let’s hope they can do a good Scouse accent. As the 4 main actors look so little like the Beatles, you have to wonder what the Beatles wives/girlfriends, George Martin, Brian Epstein, and others from that time, will look like.

There will have to be some very heavy prosthetic makeovers going on to get this lot to resemble the originals.  Mescal might be the nearest but sick of seeing him by now.  I don't think there will be much interest from anyone under 40 and having 4 biopics is a mistake in my opinion bc if one gets slated I don't think people will be bothered to watch the others.  I predict 4 flops.

There will be “4 films, each told from the perspective of a different band member”.  The Times Paul Mescal plays Paul McCartney.  The above newspaper asks is he pretty, not just handsome?  My answer is No. Michael, we have also seen the LedZep film.  We went to the IMAX because of its great sound.  I was surprised to learn he was born in West Bromwich because he is such a massive Wolves fan.  We were also at the same concert at Earls Court in 1975!

I'm wondering what angle the film is going to take? I can't imagine it's going to reveal anything new?Now, going off topic, sorry, we went to see "Becoming Led Zeppelin" at the Olympic Studios Cinema, Barnes. Excellent film and felt satisfying (comfortable?) seeing it where the first 'Zeppelin album was recorded. I knew Page, Jones and Bonham had done session work but I wasn't aware of how pervasive they'd been in the UK music scene prior to the Yardbirds and Zeppelin - playing on recording by Shirley Bassey, Lulu, Donovan & Bowie - and doing arrangements in Jones's case. A true test of musicianship; going it from music scores and getting it right! (There's also the question of how they'd have developed if Most hadn't blocked Terry Reid from joining instead of Plant: another great vocalist and a second guitarist ...) Glad I also saw them live at Earl's Court - which Mr Google tells me was '75 not '74; well it was several decades ago!

Re: the actor Val Kilmer who has just passed away, he really looked like Jim Morrison who he played in The Doors film.  Plus Timothee Chalamet looks like a young Bob Dylan in the recent film.
Also, we have 4 actors who will be putting on Liverpudlian accents.  I understand there’s a decline in the number of actors from working class backgrounds, but couldn’t they have even found one Liverpudlian young man to play a Beatle and give him a break into films?
