I wonder if the MPs backing this expect UK taxpayers to fund the airport in Pakistan.I noticed that her spring statement Rachel Reeves is still pinning her hopes for growth on a 3rd runway.  Andy Slaughter and Ruth Cadbury have spoken out against it but I haven't noticed anything from Fleur. Does anyone know if she's commented?

This Labour MP for a rubbish strewn rat infested Birmingham constituency has backed this up by saying that at the moment some Pakistanis have to travel THREE HOURS to get to the existing airport presumably before they can fly here to join their relatives and add to those who will vote for him in the next General Election 😉😁

Slightly strange this one no?1) Most people on this forum are against Heathrow expansion.The MP's listed voted against Heathrow expansion2) Most people on this forum are in favour of airport expansion elsewhere.These MP's are seemingly also for airport expansion elsewhere.So they voted the same way you would.... what's the issue?Oh, there isn't one...just Tice being a bit of a knob, again.

Looking at the list of MPs on that letter I would hazard a guess that all but 3 or 4 of them are Muslim so they probably think they have a good chance of success. Harmer and Ginge have been waging a charm offensive to keep onside with their Muslim cohorts, inside and outside of parliament. Plus Labour cannot risk falling out with its very generous benefactor, Lord Alli. Harmer in particular would miss his very close personal friendship ...

The best thing the West can do for Pakistan is not to interfere in its politics, be it airports or coups.With the recent resignation following an anti-corruption investigation in Bangladesh you think MP's would be a bit hesitant being involved with overseas politics.
