Fulham⚽️Misery😫

Gutted😩Fulham knocked out of FA Cup 0-2 by Crystal Palace. Of little or no interest to most so please excuse my self indulgent post but I am so disappointed. FFC reached the final 50 years ago and now with all the major teams out of the running I felt we had a very good chance to get there again.  In a petulant mood now.  Do not want any London side to win. Come on Brighton!

Mr Higgins'I shake my head someone not relishing a trip to Wembley'.I have supported Fulham for 17 years when I realised that it was my local team and that trudging to the Emirates to watch Arsenal from the Gods in row Z (all my Red Membership could get me) was stupid.Especially as usually the only tickets available were for games against teams like...Fulham !Since then I have followed Fulham across the country, all around Europe including to Hamburg twice and to Wembley on two occasions.The Wembley trips were indeed great.But my experience is of how long Wembley Way is and how at 80 I would I am sure find the walk hard going.So I was perhaps being somewhat misanthropic in saying I was not unhappy we were not off there again for the Cup semi-finals, being unsure I could gird up my loins yet again and with that Fulhamish fear of disappointment on the day and old age weighing me down.But still four very good home games left and there is always next season !

Peter, the lack of footballing success by the Birmingham/West Midland clubs is really bad for Birmingham.  I am afraid we really don’t like Aston Villa, so probably I had better leave it there.  You probably feel the same about Birmingham and West Brom.

Have to say that as the fan of Villa, a team that did get to the semis, I shake my head someone not relishing a trip to Wembley. It looks like my lack of a season ticket may mean I can't go but I'm tempted to head up there on match day and enjoy the games at one of the pubs outside the exclusion perimeter. I did get to the play off games there in recent years.I'd strongly suggest making the most of these good times for your club as they aren't necessarily guaranteed and you won't always have a manager as good as Marco Silva (see Felix Magath).

Ms HammondI too was disappoited with the result but the better team did win.I doubt if they will get past the next round though.My consolation however is that as a season ticket holder -1) I wont have to find £70+ for a semi-final ticket2) Will not have that great long trudge from Wembley Park tube up Wembley Way to the stadium3) Wont have to cough up £10 for soggy fish 'n chips and £8 for a pint of lagerAnd we would probably lose anyway 😢COYWs !
