When is a solicitor not a solicitor ?

Apparantly when he is a cabinet minister.Like Rachel from accounts its seems lying about your experience and or qualifications is acceptable in the current govt.Along  with accepting gifts of clothes, concert tickets, football tickets, spectacles etc etc.Didnt they stand on a platform of cleaning up politics ? Maybe they lost their broom.

Perhaps someone may have asked her some basic questions.I think there is a very wide consensus from the former Governor of the BoE to ex Chancellors to just about everyone that is not part of the cult - although some have put it more politely - that an employment tax when you are relying on fragile growth, trying to decrease economic inactivity, reduce the burden on the taxpayer was just plain stupid.Did she not ask anyone? Was it collective stupidity at cabinet level?They can't even say there was not another choice because they just cut foreign aid!So we have someone that has sunk the UK economy and being British we now have to pretend that that we do not have an idiot as a chancellor. She can't even be promoted to an EU position.

There is no suggestion of hacking Phillipa. Surely that would have been The accounts girls first defence. But she said it was an honest mistake.stretchjng 5 years to 10 is quite a mistake in fact it's a lie. Claiming to be an economist rather than a complaints clerk is not a mistake it's a lie.Claiming to be a solicitor when you failed to complete the course is not a mistake it's a lie.Thumping a constituent when drunk is not a mistake its thuggery.Wishing an elderly constituent was dead is not a mistake it's an abhorrent abuse of positionEtc etc etc

Isn't Linked In more of a Work Facebook?  There's too much information on there and like everything else it gets hacked.  I wouldn't consider it the equivalent of a CV.  (Though they might!)

I'm genuinely amazed the Chancellor hasn't been fired, or at least resigned ahead of it being made clear she would be fired.  Several of her former colleagues have gone on the record with very clear statements that she lied about her employment history.  The point about her length of tenure is one thing but much more concerning is what she did actually did when employed at the BoE for example.  It would seem she was not an economic, as claimed at all, but more of a claims handler. There are also suggestions that she was involved in some additional impropriety involving expenses or phone use or something similar.  Either way we should expect more from our elected politicians especially those in key cabinet roles.  She gambled by lying on her CV, she has been caught out and should now resign or be fired.  This will not go away.
