Israeli sources of information aren't necessarily verified either.  Too often when questioned actions taken are just "being looked into" - and quite possibly because they have not been officially authorised.

The figures published by Al Jazeera almost certainly come from the Hamas ‘Health Ministry’, a tainted source which should be neither believed  nor disbelieved but simply disregarded until an objective count can be compiled.

Thank you for posting this, David. The very large number of Palestinian children killed by Israeli bombs is terrible. The behaviour of the Hamas fighters is disgusting. It’s not a competition in awfulness or a question of ‘whataboutery’ or ‘good versus evil’. The October 7 massacre is utterly contemptible, the destruction of Gaza and thousands of its people beyond awful. It is, of course. much easier to engage in the tragedy of a single family than in simply large numbers of dead. Let’s just hope that this war ends and a lasting solution found.
