Starmer just doesn't hear the public mood over this issue ...
However Dalton is very supportive of trans rights ...Not surprised ...New health minister Ashley Dalton said there should be NO women-only toilets and people should be able to identify as LLAMAS
The new health minister previously called for an end to same-sex toilets, suggested females can have penises, and backed people identifying as llamas, it was revealed today.
Keir Starmer has promoted Ashley Dalton after sacking Andrew Gwynne from the key role over his posts in a vile WhatsApp group.
However, the PM immediately faced questions over Ms Dalton's views, as it emerged she had defended people identifying as animals and argued for all bathrooms to be gender neutral.
During a discussion on Twitter in 2016 Ms Dalton - who was elected as MP for West Lancashire in 2023 - insisted: 'Trans women aren't male. They're women.'

Mr EvansYou say this the 'llama' quote was an 'I don't see why not' kind of answer to being specifically asked by someone if people can identify as a llama'.'Why not' ?No reason at all unless such people want the right to demand special animal lanes on public highways or resist the requirement to share public spaces with cows or elephants.And is this not presumptuous of her to assume a human can understand the emotions, feelings and beliefs of a llama ?Bit like saying someone born male can know what it means to be born female and assume a right to be treated as such.If the comment was one of tolerance of people's self-deception, that is commendable.But if she really believes it .....!

Whether or not Labour MPs identify themselves as llamas, most of them would be identified by the general public as sheep.

What fun it is digging out things that Labour politicians Tweeted nearly 10 years ago - several years before they were even Labour politicians! The 'llama' quote was an 'I don't see why not' kind of answer to being specifically asked by someone if people can identify as a llama.Ms Dalton has also been quoted as saying that Brexit is 'short-sighted and stupid', so she can't be all bad!
