Labour - the Nasty Party ?

The MP apologised for his 'badly misjudged comments'.I wonder what he really meant to say !!'Now it can be revealed that Oliver Ryan, the 29-year-old MP for Burnley, was another leading member of the group, where he has posted more than 2,000 messages'.The Daily Mail has also learned that Greater Manchester Police are now assessing a number of complaints made about the WhatsApp group's offensive content.In the private chat, called Trigger Me Timbers, Mr Ryan takes part with others in apparently homophobic banter as they joke about a fellow Labour MP being gay. In a series of posts, Mr Ryan also makes cruel remarks about a local Labour leader and life-long lollipop man in Greater Manchester called Colin Bailey'.What is revealing if you look at their CVs is that both MPs have never had a proper job in the real world.They have spent all of their time in and earned all of their income from Local and National Labour Party politics. Their comments give lie to the claim that Labour exists to promote the welfare of persecuted minorities and the vulnerable.I do hope that Putney's Labour MP has confronted these men and supports Kier Starmer in condemning them.

Andy, I don't think many Labour supporters, sympathiser, etc would make apologies for the two MPs and eleven councillors. I think they are pleased the party took immediate action, and suspended and sacked as appropriate.

Ms Hammond'Has antisemitism raised its ugly head again, I wonder'?Of course it has otherwise why do the Palestinians and Hamas receive so much support from the far-Left ?Remember Corbyn stating that 'he called Hamas and Hezbollah his friends' ?Yet so little condemnation of what has happened in  Bangladesh from the usual 'human rights' suspects in the Labour Party (and on this Forum). In that country (see BBC News) 'Prime minister Sheikh Hasina and her government tried to cling on to power using systematic, deadly violence against protesters that could amount to "crimes against humanity", the UN has said.UN human rights investigators accused the deposed government of a brutal response to mass opposition last year, in which they said up to 1,400 people had been killed, mostly by security forces.The UN team said "an official policy to attack and violently repress anti-government protesters" had been directed by political leaders and senior security officials.Hasina, who had been in office for 15 years, fled by helicopter to India shortly before crowds stormed her residence last August'.Might it be because of Labour 'voter sensitivity' in Tower Hamlets ?!😉What do you think Messrs Ainsworth, Brigo and Carter ?Were the Bangladeshi people treated as badly or worse that the Palestinians ?

Let's not forget the toolmakers sons nkn oarty party during lockdown and now it comes to light he had a  voice coach visiting during level 4 lockdown. Claimed she was essential worker !! If nothing else he should get his money back for the coaching as he still sounds like a wooden garden ornament.  Hardly the kings speech.

Labour MPs on a personal level are probably no nastier than  Conservatives. But  they are a good deal more sanctimonious, ever ready to trumpet their commitment to ‘working people’ and to criticise the personal behaviour of their opponents. So when they fall from grace, like the WhatsApp group or ministers who accepted freebies, it’s the hypocrisy that infuriates people.

It really is! Well done to the MoS for its investigative journalism once again. Oliver Ryan is the second one who now suspended and there are others in the same WhatsApp group also being investigated. I agree these two should be kicked out of the party and automatic by-elections held. Starmer hasn't got the balls to do it though.

How desperate does a political party have to be to hold onto people like this.  Sling them all out and have a bye-election if required.
