Quite a surprising photograph as the bus stop by the Green Man, as shown in the picture, was never closed. Buses due to go to Putney Bridge Station would stop at the Green Man, decant the passengers with no explanation.The bus stop that caused the problems is on the opposite side of the road. For some reason, buses coming from Putney Station stopped at the Lytton Grove stop, decant all passengers with no explanation, then continued on its way to the Green Man totally empty. Passengers, of course, young, old, frail, disabled, etc. had to make their way to the Green Man bus stop on foot.
