Darren Bingham is back

Serial scammer Darren Bingham is knocking on doors in the Putney area again. Usual story - needs money for hospital. He usually isn't aggressive but is whiny and persistent so alert any vulnerable people in your street that he might be calling.

He knocked on my door on December 18 and gave me a heart-wrenching story which involving being locked out, needing bus-fare to get to his Dad's etc. etc. Thing is that he had forgotten that he had previously knocked on my door in October 2022, with a similar tale of bovine excrement. The first time I had "lent" him £5. This time I told him to F*** O**. Which he did, very quickly. Is there anyone in SW London that doesn't know of Darren Bingham?

That old water board trick is as old as the hills yet seemingly poeople still fall for it.

Also on NEXT DOOR, appears 2 men knock on door about plumbing, while one talks to you the other one pinches stuff. Then there is another one waiting outside in a vehicle.  Something like that.

Yvonne. In answer to your question it was before the 14th when he called. Very well done for helping, at least temporarily, putting a stop to his activities.

It's certainly been the case in the past that he has been out and at it again a few days after being arrested. The problem is that our jails are full and, as he is apparently never violent, he isn't going to be locked up because there are a lot worse that need to be more.

Hi, when did he knock on your door as I see you posted on the 17th? We had him on the 14th..daughter knew of him phoned the Police and they caught him soon after..had Ring door recording etc... so just wondered if he was out already? Glad he knocked on our door and not on an elderly neighbour!

I think he might be the chap the police want to catch. Call 999 if he's knocking on your door so they can get him.
