Planned new Putney pier
I spotted earlier that there is an application for a new Putney Pier for the riverboat service. I think it's 2024/4391. I have mixed emotions as I rather like the old school corrugated iron roof look at the current pier and it will be a shame if we get something too ultra modern in look. I do of course recognise that it needs to be serviceable and it can't be a museum piece. I will also add that I do catch the riverboat service to the City most days so I do have some vested interest although as I say I'm in no rush for anything too modern in look. I can't see the actual proposed design from the application so may well have the wrong end of the stick and someone better versed in these things may get a clearer idea from the planning portal.
