Hudsons, Lower Richmond Road

Does anyone know what's happening with Hudsons? It's been closed since before Christmas (though the notice on the door says Open),  and although there's been some muttering on NextDoor that the owner is seriously ill/has died, but I haven't seen any confirmation of that or indeed anything else.

The web site also seems to be down. Not sure if this is a recent development. A friend of mine who works in commercial lettings says she has lots of leases for restaurant units coming up. This is not just for Putney but across London. Looks like businesses on the edge stuck it out to take the extra revenue available through Christmas.

Konnigans has closed down too. Before Christmas. A bit of a loss really, as it was good value and ok atmosphere.

Thanks Sue, I do try my best. The 2 brothers when I worked there were lovely, they also had a friend as well helped Caroline, I think they had College friends. I was their in about 1993. At the time they were forever buying new places and we were invited to their openings.

Thank you, Barbara.  It doesn't look good but maybe someone will take it over? It was always a good place for brunch, especially. But at least there's the new cafe, not that there's anything like a shortage of them there.

Google Michael Victory,  was Hudsons 113 Lower Richmond Rd. Well it seems dissolved. But one  seems active in SW18 Konnigans.

Kevin Patrick Victory, 20 Ebner St, SW18. Hudsons,  It shows loads of info. Also another one that appears to still be open in SW18. If you type in his name it also appears a lot have been dissolved. Ebner St, seems like their office.

No one seems to know what's happening with it; it remains closed. According to LinkedIn, ownership changed hands in June 2023. Isabella Noce then became a co-owner, but who was the other owner? In any case, Isabella Noce stopped being a co-owner in January this year, but who owns it now is a mystery.

I worked for them years ago, in the office above the cheese shop in Lacy Rd, only for a year and half, doing their book keeping, they had a lot of other places as well as that, also the Cromwellian.  Michael and Kevin Victory used to own Hudsons unless it has been taken over by somebody else.
