The bottom line

So long as we have to endure an abject NHS and palliative care remains grossly underfunded, it will be easier - and cheaper - to validate suicide than to promote and prolong life. If the assisted dying bill becomes law, will that not be proof that Britain is indeed a morally bankrupt society?

There isn't enough money going to palliative care.  Our family have seen how good this can be at a hospice.
